Do I need a referral to see Saul?
If you would like to claim a Medicare rebate then yes, you will need a referral. To be able to claim a rebate your GP must complete and lodge a GP Mental Health Plan and write a referral to see Saul Gerber at Coogee Psychology Clinic. If you are not going to be claiming a Medicare rebate then you do not need a referral.
Is it possible to get a Medicare rebate for my sessions?
It will be possible for you to obtain a Medicare rebate of approximately $126.00 for each session if you obtain a GP referral. You are entitled to 20 sessions per calendar year. However, it is not essential to obtain a GP referral to see Saul.
How much would I be out of pocket after receiving the rebate?
To see Saul during a standard work day the fee is $275.00 per session however, with the Medicare rebate you are able to claim back $130.00. During after-hours and Saturdays the fee is $285.00 with the ability to also claim back the medicare rebate of $130.00. Bulk billing for clients with monetary issues can be negotiated.

Yes, Saul does see his clients after hours. He understands that people work full time and tries his best to work with his patients to find the most suitable time between them.
